| 英語専攻で学べること |
英語専攻では、英語教員としての優れた技能と、英語についての深い専門知識を兼ね備えた人材を養成します。
このため、英語そのものの運用能力を高めつつ、専門分野の知識を深め、さらに国際化に対応するためのカリキュラムを構成しています。開設科目は「英語科教育」、「英語コミュニケーション」、「英語学」、「英語文学」、「異文化理解」の５分野に分かれています。学年に従い、各分野を基礎的なものから高度なものまで、理論的なものから実践的なものまで学ぶことができます。また、ドイツ語とフランス語の教員も在籍し、より広い視野からグローバル化に対応できる教員を育てます。
交換留学制度を利用して、毎年、英語専攻から数名の学生が海外に留学しています。また、多くの学生が短期語学留学に出かけています。
卒業生は、教員になる人はもちろん、一般企業に勤める人、大学院に進学する人など様々で、みなそれぞれの分野で活躍しています。
